Hi, I'm Carmel! In the last few months I started my company abraso that makes comfortable and beautiful bras. Making inclusive and fine bras is something close to my heart. When I was 15 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I had several surgeries. Twelve years and five surgeries later, resulting in uneven breasts, and the only bra that fit me well: my post-surgery bra. But yeah, I didn't feel very sexy in that. For years I have searched in vain for a comfortable bra in which I would feel good. This couldn't be found, so I took matters into my own hands and designed one myself.
In my apartment in The Hague, with my dog on my lap, I've been working non-stop for the past year on designing and improving an inclusive and empowering bra design: abraso "the original". The bra is specially designed to give any breast, large or small, crooked or flat, firm or soft, the support and confidence it deserves.

As a small, start-up company, we believe it is important to have a positive impact on the world.
